Motorway Road Tax Disc
A road tax applies for use of the Austrian motorway:
the 'Autobahn'.
The road tax disc – referred to as a 'Vignette' – can be purchased on the border, at petrol stations, post offices, convenience stores, through the Austrian Automobile Association and from the tourist office of Lech Zuers.

When planning your trip please note that the route from Lech to Warth is closed during the Winter months due to the danger of avalanches. It is therefore strongly recommended that you avoid driving via Lech Valley or the Bregenz forest areas on your way here.
If you are arriving on a Saturday during the peak season we recommend that you plan your trip such that you take the routes between Feldkirch – Lech or Imst – Lech before 9:30am or after 2:00pm. On your day of departure there is a heightened risk of traffic congestion between 10:30am and 3:00pm.
